Finding somebody cuddly to adore has altered Robin Thicke.
The Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter believes his 20-month-old son Julian Fuego with his wife, actress Paula Patton, has done him reduction greedy and a improved performer.
“Since I’ve turn a dad, we no longer perform for me, we perform for my family,” a recording star, 34, told PEOPLE during Friday’s Fendi Casa Luxury Living and Beats by Dr. Dre celebration during Art Basel in Miami, where Thicke sang several songs.
“Julian has altered my song and done me consider reduction of myself. He is an angel, a biggest thing that has ever happened to me.”
Thicke, who debuts his new album, Love After War, this Tuesday, wrote a 17 songs during a past year and a half that he took off to caring for Julian. Some of a songs simulate his life changes and new standing as a dad.
“I wrote one song called ‘Never Give Up’ to inspire Julian to quarrel behind when he faces problems in life,” Thicke tells PEOPLE.
He also wrote songs about feeling uncertain to simulate a stresses he and Patton faced when Julian initial arrived.
“It was tough when we became parents, since we had to change a careers with this new chairman in a lives,” says Thicke.
“I mislaid my mojo for awhile. But finally we strike a rhythm, and we are some-more in adore than ever and so understanding of any other. We’re both crazy about a son.”
With Thicke rising his album, and Patton touring opposite countries with Tom Cruise to foster their new Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Julian has been distant from his relatives for dual weeks.
“This is a longest possibly Paula or we have been divided from Julian and it is tough for both of us,” says Thicke, who adds that Patton’s mom is babysitting. “We speak to him constantly on Skype, and he seems to know his relatives are off doing their thing, that is good for him.”
Already, Julian has begun to dance and loves to revisit his father in a song studio. He walks adult to a microphone and lets Thicke know he wants to play piano and drums. The small man also does pushups and has begun to obey his mom doing yoga.
“Julian is an aged soul,” says Thicke with a laugh. “In dual weeks, we fly to Los Angeles and squeeze him so we can be together in New York for his mother’s film premiere. We are all about family.”
